Alina Anwar, a well-known young celebrity fashion designer, is making waves in the fashion industry since launching her own luxury evening wear brand, Alina Anwar Couture in Dubai in 2018. Her five years existence in the market proves that the brand has been making successful progress. In UAE’s highly competitive couture fashion business, the brand has gained a tremendous amount of worldwide attention.
Anwar has worked with high profile figures including the music legend Mariah Carey in „All I want for Christmas is You“ remake video in December 2019. Apart from her, she has dressed other big names like Toni Braxton, Camille Vasquez, Saweetie, Tinashe, Idina Menzel as well as Bollywood Superstar Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt to name a few. Moreover, she has dressed several local and regional celebrities in different red carpet events globally including in Italy, Los Angeles, Dubai and India. She has also worked with popular Lebanese singer, Najwa Karam and the popular face of FIFA world cup song, Nora Fatehi. Alina also participated in Paris Fashion Week in September 2024, where she showcased her latest collection in a private showroom.
Originally from Pakistan, she’s the only women from her country to run a western wear brand for women and dressing the celebrities globally in a very short span of time. Known as the fastest youngest designer to dress stars, Alina Anwar has definitely set an example for women especially from her country that you can achieve whatever you desire for if you have the will to do so. She has been an inspiration to the young women while breaking boundaries and fulfilling her ambitions and goals in a fast evolving industry. “My aim is to empower women through dressing and to set them on a path to personal freedom and endless possibilities”– says Alina Anwar.
In the future, she hopes to see more Hollywood stars wearing her brand including Beyonce and Zendaya. She also plans opening her first boutique in Dubai, a place which she calls her home. She feels overwhelmed by the trust that has been given to her brand and she believes that in the upcoming years she will prove that UAE-made products are world-class.
