05. јул 2025.
| Miljana Momirović
From winning regional literary awards to being honored with the prestigious US Washington PTSA Reflections literature prize, Rebecca de Broglio’s words have long captured hearts. But for this multitalented creative, storytelling doesn’t end on the page.
With a lifelong love for writing and a deep curiosity for the arts, Rebecca now finds herself in front of the camera – drawn to the collaborative magic of modeling. „Every image tells a story,“ she says. „And there’s something incredibly beautiful about being part of a team that builds that story from scratch.“
As de Broglio sets her sights on writing her first novel, we’re proud to introduce her as the newest face on our cover – a voice, a vision, and a presence to remember.
In this exclusive interview, we dive into the multifaceted world of our new cover star – an artist who seamlessly blends the art of storytelling with the visual poetry of fashion. From penning award-winning short stories to stepping confidently in front of the camera, Rebecca de Broglio shares how writing and modeling fuel her creative spirit.
Discover how the runway and the page inspire her, and what it means to truly express yourself in today’s ever-evolving fashion landscape.
What has the fashion world revealed to you about yourself that you didn’t expect
Fashion showed me how much I crave transformation. Humans are constantly evolving–not just through style, but through identity and mood. I never realized how clothing could become a language for parts of myself I hadn’t yet discovered. I am in love with exploring different styles and genres with my clothes and building a statement with what I wear.
Do you feel like a storyteller when you’re in front of the camera?
Absolutely! Modeling feels like I’m narrating without words, letting my body and face hold emotion, tension, and a vision. The camera captures an intense story, and it’s beautiful to be a part of that. Every frame becomes a frozen paragraph in a silent story, similar to writing.
Which fashion aesthetics inspire you most right now—both in writing and in style?
Right now, I’m obsessed with dark academia and grunge for its nostalgic melancholy and timeless tailoring. In my writing, I gravitate toward surreal minimalism and fantasy-inspired outfits, such as the dresses from the old Star Wars movies.
On set, what matters more to you: the energy of the team or the perfect shot?
The energy of the team always wins! Without it, even the most technically perfect shot feels flat. The beauty of creating art is meeting the fellow artists around you; a connected crew brings out a kind of magic that the camera can actually feel and makes the shoot so much for creatively powerful.
What kind of story do you want to tell with your debut novel?
I want to tell a story about someone who unravels in order to become real—blurring dreams, memory, and identity. I was heavily inspired by authors such as Dazai Osamu and Dostoevsky in my drafting process. It’s about the beauty of being haunted by your own becoming, and an exploration of my evolution from childhood to young adulthood.
Is there a go-to piece of clothing that always boosts your confidence?
Surprisingly enough, my furry fursuit is my favorite accessory for my outfits. It allows me to stay anonymous while also displaying a unique identity and show of style; Furry fursuits are works of art, combining expert sewing, sculpting, and painting to create expressive, custom characters. Each suit reflects hours of craftsmanship and personal storytelling through fashion. And not to mention incredibly expensive!
Where do you feel most creative—dressing up, behind the lens, or at your desk writing?
I feel most alive at my desk, lost in a sentence that surprises me. Photography never fails to enrapture me, especially analog photography. I have been deeply interested in the process of dark rooms and processing photos as a form of protest against the ease of AI usage in photography. Humanity’s curse is our curiosity, but our blessing is our creativity, and I hope to stimulate my growth by exploring analog photography deeper.
